FAQs

  • At this time, we take private pay only (with options to self submit to insurance through a Superbill*).

We 100% understand that private pay is an extra cost to juggle in your budget in a time of high living costs. However, it offers some great advantages!

Getting the help you need via schools, or insurance can require a lot of hoop jumping. Waitlists, meetings, evaluations, and strict standards about who and who does not qualify for help.

In private therapy, we have the flexibility to do what is best for your child and family! There is no need to follow the “wait to fail” model. We can begin treatment right away, and tailor our plan, and goals to what your child truly needs.

  • Yes!! Speech therapy is a medical services. You can use your HSA/FSA account for payment.

We can run your HSA/FSA card as we would a credit card. If you require proof, or a receipt to justify services as Super Bill will be provided.

  • There are many children that can be served best through private pay!

-A child who doesn’t qualify for summer speech services (but you want to keep making progress!)

-A child who receives speech in school, but progress is slow.

-A child with sound errors who does not qualify for speech therapy yet, and the family does not want to “wait and see”.

-A family who has been on a waitlist, and wants to get started yesterday ;)

-A family who wants the highest level of attention and care for their child’s speech delay.

-A family who doesn’t want to commit to therapy at this time, but would like to consult and get some expert training on how to help their child.

  • Probably not! If a child has a current IEP through their school I am happy to formulate a treatment plan from that document. Some supplemental probes may be required to best serve your child, but they can be done informally.

  • Sessions typically range from 30-60 minutes depending on your child, and their needs. For speech sound disorders, the research shows that best outcomes are made when a child is seen at least twice a week, or once with a strong home practice program.

Cost for therapy is as follows: $75 for 30 minutes, $85 for 45 minutes, and $120 for 60 minutes. A full evaluation (1-2 hour evaluation and report) costs $300. If you do not plan to bill insurance, a full evaluation is not mandatory.

Payments are due at the time of service.

You will be offered the options of using a Superbill. A Superbill allows you to bill your insurance. Please contact your insurance before your appointment to find out the details of what your insurance allows, and what is required for reimbursement (doctor referral, full evaluation, report, notes submitted?).

  • Up to you! Services are offered in your home, daycare, or preschool. Our service areas includes East Aurora, Orchard Park, Elma, West Seneca (and surrounding areas)! If you are outside of these areas please reach out to Christina to chat.
